Here is my newly restored Grundig Model 5299. It is a great sounding radio. It was purchased in 1961. This radio has the stereo decoder. The speakers are "Mystic Maestro Stereo Mate 1". They look and sound great. The total tube count for this system is 19 tubes. 13 tubes in the receiver and 3 tubes in each of the speakers to power the amplifiers in the speakers.

Beautiful setup. I have the identical pair of speakers I would like to get working to use with my 8099 console, I was wondering if you perhaps had recaped yours and had a schematic. Strangely inside my units the amplifier appears to be of american manufacture a 3 tube setup with a pair of sylvania 50L6 gts and a 12ax7 everything else is standard grundig the cabinet etc and it does not appear the amplifiers were ever replaced perhaps yours are the same? The paper inside labels them as Grundig Majestic Stereo Mate 1 and a paper on the back "Mystic Maestro"
